Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, optimizing time and fuel usage while maintaining punctuality. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, practicing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service while addressing inquiries and building positive relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with transportation laws. Assist with merchandising tasks at retail stores, including product placement and inventory organization. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Skills Strong driving skills with experience in route driving and commercial truck driving preferred. Basic math proficiency for pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of retail store operations, merchandising, and customer relationship building. Familiarity with DOT regulations, automobile transportation standards, and safety protocols. Organizational skills to manage schedules efficiently and maintain accurate delivery records. Sales aptitude with the ability to upsell products or services confidently.
