Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices and managing heavy items when necessary. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and providing excellent customer service. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Ensure all deliveries comply with safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies related to automobile transportation. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or retail store delivery roles. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and basic math skills for handling transactions or calculations. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Familiarity with DOT regulations governing hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety protocols. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day.
