Job Description
Overview Se Habla Espanol! We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for using your own vehicle to make small package deliveries in the dense areas of the city of Clewiston, FL. Packages will be brought to by a delivery truck that will also be making deliveries in the city of Clewiston. Packages should be to you by around 11am and the route should generally be finished by 4 or 5pm on most days (most days should be finished earlier). The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to adhere to company policies and safety expectations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service and reliability. Responsibilities Receive packages from delivery truck and driver in a safe location, and properly load packages into your own vehicle. (Packages should be to you by around 11am and route should be finished by 4 or 5pm on most days). Must possess your own vehicle with valid insurance. Vehicle must be 2016 or newer. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Will be required to travel to the primary warehouse in Fort Myers, FL twice to complete an in person background check application and again to receive your company issued ID. Ensure proper handling of packages at all times to prevent damage. Follow designated routes for efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries. Utilize Scanner equipment properly to ensure satisfactory delivery attempts, pictures, and customer satisfaction are maximized. Proper uniform is worn at all times while on duty and in contact with customers. Continual check ins with route managers throughout the day to provide updates or obtain assistance. At the end of your shift any packages not able to be delivered or any packages that were picked up from a customer need to be given back to the delivery truck in your area who will bring everything back to the terminal at the end of day. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Majority of packages you will be handling will be less than 10 lbs. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Ability to work as a team with other drivers in your area. Everyone on our team works together if one person runs into issues. A commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations.
