3003327518-2 Apply for this job now Job Description US Foods, a leader in foodservice distribution, is seeking a Delivery Driver, Lead Trainer to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of food and supplies to restaurant, healthcare, and hospitality customers. In this performance-driven, safety-focused role, you'll operate commercial delivery vehicles, lead by example on routes, and train drivers on safe driving, product handling, and exceptional customer service. You will conduct ride-alongs, coach on best practices, support continuous improvement, and reinforce our culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration while helping customers Make It every day. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport foodservice products to customer locations on assigned routes. Lead, coach, and train delivery drivers on safe driving, loading, unloading, and customer service best practices. Conduct ride-alongs, skills assessments, and safety audits to ensure compliance with DOT, company, and food safety standards. Develop and deliver training sessions and refreshers on routing technology, equipment use, and product handling. Serve as a primary customer-contact on routes, resolving delivery issues and ensuring high service levels. Assist with route planning, load verification, and documentation to improve efficiency and accuracy. Promote a performance-driven, safety-first culture through daily huddles, feedback, and incident reviews. Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and incident reports for delivery staff. Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to improve processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
