As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
Maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site-specific requirements; document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and traffic or parking-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence in patient care environments.
Minimum Requirements:
CPO certification is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
