Job Description

As a Truck Commander, you will be responsible for the performance of the vehicle and crew you are assigned to. The primary responsibilities will include leading crew members on job sites when removing our customers unwanted items. This will include mainly residential properties along with some commercial locations. In addition, there will be some duties related to guerilla marketing. This includes but may not be limited to placing door hangers on potential customers homes and placing lawn signs around town. On occasion, you may be asked to introduce yourself to businesses located within the territory and explain a little about our company and the services we offer. Responsibilities and Duties JDog Junk Removal & Hauling employees can expect a fast paced work environment with every day being different from the last. With that being said, the duties and responsibilities of a Truck Commander are listed below. Please note this is not a comprehensive list and is only meant to manage your expectations of the day to day. Ensure you and your team arrive to work on time and in the correct uniform Ability to lead crew members and ensure completion of jobs with minimal supervision Report safety concerns immediately to the franchise owner or direct supervisor Uphold the company values of Respect, Integrity & Trust Frequently sorting and loading household items such as furniture Identify and separate items for resale, donation and recycling Identify common metals such as non ferrous and separate for scrap metal recycling Assist in Guerilla and traditional marketing strategies Qualifications Ability to learn scheduling softwares Clean driving record and the ability to drive a non CDL commercial vehicle - upto 26ft Box Truck Be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs Be physically able to work in a variety of conditions to include outdoors in the elements Comfortable working with power tools on occasion Must be flexible and willing to work with a changing schedule Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills Strong customer service skills Available to work on Holidays and weekends as needed Must possess a valid and clean Drivers license Must be legally eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation Clean background Check Salary and benefits Hourly rate is an avg $23 per hour (including tips) with base pay $17/
