Cheney Brothers & Affiliates is seeking a dependable Class A Delivery Driver to safely transport foodservice products to restaurants, hotels, and institutions across assigned routes. In this full-time role, you'll operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure accurate loading and unloading of products, and verify deliveries with customers. You'll represent our family-owned company with professional, courteous service while following DOT, safety, and food-handling regulations. Expect early-morning schedules, some heavy lifting, and teamwork with dispatch and warehouse staff, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing training. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers on scheduled routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document results Load, secure, and unload foodservice products using proper handling techniques Verify orders, obtain signatures, and complete delivery paperwork or electronic logs Provide professional, courteous customer service at delivery locations Follow DOT, company, and food safety regulations and policies Communicate with dispatch and warehouse regarding route issues or delays Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle Handle cases and pallets, including repetitive lifting and use of hand trucks or pallet jacks Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability Required Skills CDL Class A driving Route navigation and planning Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Freight loading and unloading Material handling equipment operation Knowledge of DOT regulations Time management Electronic logging and paperwork completion Customer service Safe lifting and ergonomics
