Part Time, Warehouse Delivery Driver (Punta Gorda, FL)
Job Summary:
Looking for a skilled individual for a part time role delivering packages and coordinating other deliveries from our Territory located warehouses that service the direct customer of our product and installation teams. As a part time position, this day shift role will have a weekly schedule of up to 29 hours per week.
Position Requirements & Responsibilities:
(These requirements are in addition to any and all Viewrail employment requirements and policies.)
Responsibilities:
Make timely and safe deliveries of Viewrail products. Work with the other warehouses and drivers to move due dates to help group runs, organize and create scheduled delivery runs. Manage a run list. Operate our technical scanning and package locating systems. Run and oversee shipping software systems that are warehouse specific. Make calls to the customer to set up a delivery time and provide updates on the order delivery status (including any changes to delivery dates). Maintain and follow warehouse safety guidelines. Unload and organize freight in the warehouse. Oversee proper truck and forklift maintenance for owned equipment. Ship small orders via 3rd party carriers when necessary. All other job-related duties as assigned.
Documentation Requirements:
Valid Driver License (CDL not required) For Hire Endorsement (Company will pay for test) DOT Physical (Provided by company if not currently obtained)
Required Skills:
Ability to lift at least 70 lbs Ability to operate a forklift Ability to drive and operate a 26' box truck with lift gate Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (Home nightly) Knowledge or willing to learn applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations No OWI's within the last 5 years Strong communication skills Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
