POSITION SUMMARY BCX
National is a white-glove carrier serving brokers and 3PLs nationwide. This is a 1099 independent contractor role for travel-based, temporary deployments — not a local or daily-dispatch position. The Driver operates a 26' box truck (non-CDL) and leads the delivery team on-site, responsible for the vehicle, the route, and the overall condition and timing of each stop. This role requires both driving competency and hands-on white-glove delivery skill.
ASSIGNMENT STRUCTURE
Engaged as a 1099 independent contractor for a defined temporary assignment, not an employee.
Assignments are travel-based:
you will depart your home location and relocate to the assignment city for the duration of the job. Typical assignment length runs 2-4 weeks, based on job volume and mutual agreement between contractor and BCX National. Hotel lodging for the assignment is booked and paid directly by BCX National. Must be willing and able to work away from home for the full length of the assignment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate a 26' box truck (non-CDL) between hotel, warehouse/cross-dock, and delivery stops. Plan and run an efficient daily route in coordination with dispatch. Perform and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR). Lead white-glove delivery execution at each stop — room-of-choice placement, debris removal, and setup as required by the client. Install appliances or furniture at delivery locations per client specification. Inspect freight for damage at pickup and delivery; document and report any exceptions immediately. Obtain proof of delivery (signature, photos) and complete all required documentation same-day. Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers and site contacts. Ensure the helper (when assigned) is following client requirements and safe handling practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of verifiable box truck driving experience. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Prior white-glove delivery experience. Reliable smartphone (iOS or Android) with a current OS version and active data plan — required for route, POD, and communication apps. Ability to operate multiple mobile apps simultaneously (dispatch, navigation, POD/e-signature, messaging) throughout the shift. Valid government-issued photo
ID. CLIENT REQUIREMENTS & CONDUCT
Follow all client-specific requirements, site rules, and delivery protocols at each location — these vary by client and by stop and must be followed exactly. Represent BCX National professionally in every customer interaction — white-glove service reflects directly on the brand. Communicate proactively with dispatch on delays, damages, access issues, or job changes. Complete all required paperwork, photos, and proof-of-delivery documentation same-day, on-site.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs individually; heavier items are handled via team lift with a partner. Ability to repeatedly climb stairs, navigate tight doorways/hallways, and maneuver large items through residential and commercial spaces. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout a full shift. Comfortable working in varied weather conditions during loading, unloading, and delivery.
COMPENSATION
$175-$200 per day, based on experience. Per diem included while on assignment/traveling. Paid as a 1099 independent contractor; no taxes withheld.
