Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, utilizing organizational skills to optimize time and resources. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with safe lifting practices, handling heavy items with care. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, build positive relationships, and address any concerns professionally. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer experience. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including route logs, delivery receipts, and inventory records. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation; retail store experience is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic accounting tasks. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial truck driving.
