Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring assistance to access medical appointments, community resources, and other essential destinations. This energetic position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients while utilizing your driving expertise and excellent customer service skills. As a key member of our transportation network, you'll ensure dependability, punctuality, compassionate, professional and comfort for every passenger you serve. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and values punctuality and safety. Duties Safely operate variety of vehicle types to transport clients to medical facilities, pharmacies, and community centers, etc. Assist passengers with mobility needs, including loading and unloading heavy lifting equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal safety and appearance. Communicate clearly with clients to confirm appointments and provide friendly, professional service. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during each trip. Complete trip logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection checklists accurately and promptly. Coordinate with dispatch or supervisors to optimize routes and schedules for efficiency. Experience Prior NEMT, paratransit, shuttle/van driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with or heavy lifting is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or bus driving certification is advantageous. Able to pass drug screening. Experience operating various vehicle types such as large buses, school buses, paratransit vehicles and ambulances are highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met. Customer service experience demonstrating patience, professionalism, and empathy when assisting diverse clients. Ability to handle physical tasks involving light lifting and assist passengers with mobility challenges confidently. $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
