Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals and optimal use of resources. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring items are transported without damage. Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent service, answering questions, and building lasting relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including route logs, delivery confirmations, and client communication records. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation; retail store experience is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic accounting tasks. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial truck driving requirements. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently and accurately. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and client relationship building strategies is advantageous.
