Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic/Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing vehicles and equipment, as well as delivering goods efficiently to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience with warehouse operations, and a valid driver's license. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, including inspections, oil changes, and troubleshooting mechanical issues Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for route deliveries Deliver goods to customers following scheduled routes and ensuring timely arrivals Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and customer requirements are met Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, deliveries, and route logs Conduct safety checks before each trip and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by addressing customer inquiries professionally Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving expertise Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients Experience with commercial driving regulations and safety standards Physical ability for heavy lifting, moving cargo, and working in a physically demanding environment Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures or mechanical skills as a mechanic is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route planning tools Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes as needed This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations through effective vehicle maintenance and reliable delivery services.
