Job Description

Patriot Equipment Sales & Rentals is seeking dependable, safety-conscious Class A CDL Drivers for local/regional equipment delivery and pickup. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy construction equipment, rental machinery, and attachments to customer job sites, as well as providing basic equipment operation instructions upon delivery. Key Responsibilities
  • Transport heavy rental machinery (skid steers, excavators, lifts, and attachments) safely to and from job sites using flatbed, lowboy, or haul trailers.
  • Secure loads using chains, binders, and straps in full compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct basic equipment operation demonstrations and safety walkthroughs for clients at delivery points.
  • Inspect returned rental equipment for damage and record condition accurately using company digital logs/tablets.
  • Maintain clean, accurate driver logs and documentation. Requirements & Qualifications
License:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
    Experience:
    Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; experience hauling heavy machinery or flatbed trailers preferred.
      Certifications:
      Current DOT Medical Card.
        Knowledge:
        Strong understanding of DOT load-securement standards, weight distribution, and oversized load regulations.
          Physical Ability:
          Able to lift up to 50-70 lbs, climb onto equipment/trailers, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
            Skills:
            Excellent customer service, clear communication, and safe equipment operation skills. Work Schedule & Employment Types
              Full-Time:
              40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend calls or overtime depending on rental demand.
                Part-Time:
                Flexible shifts (15-25 hours/week), ideal for local drivers seeking supplemental hours or flexible schedules.
                  Home Time:
                  Local/regional routes — home daily.
                  Expected hours:
                  No more than 40.0 per week
