Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Route Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B Commercial License, excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. This position will operate a DOT Class 6 Large Refrigerated Delivery Truck in both rural and urban locations. This position requires past route delivery experience. Duties Operate delivery vehicles, including refrigerated box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items efficiently, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Skills Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Experience with route delivery driving and familiarity with local roadways. Experience with refrigerated food delivery. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required. Knowledge of using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Previous experience as a route delivery driver in a metropolitan location is preferred but not mandatory.
