Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals while managing multiple stops throughout the day. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured for transport. Engage with customers professionally, building rapport and addressing their needs with a friendly attitude. Upsell additional products or services during deliveries to maximize sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in accordance with organizational standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation. Retail store experience is a plus for understanding customer expectations. Strong math skills for accurate pricing calculations, measurements, and basic inventory management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physical stamina is essential. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and traffic laws relevant to commercial truck driving. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and delivery documentation efficiently.
