Serve It Legal, LLC is a Chicago-based, Illinois-licensed process serving agency (IDFPR license 117.001939). We deliver legal notices and court papers in the suburbs for one of the largest residential landlords in the country. We are hiring two part-time drivers for Will County and the surrounding area: Joliet, Plainfield, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Shorewood, Lockport, Crest Hill, Monee, Manhattan, Channahon, Oswego and Yorkville. First routes start Tuesday, October 6, 2026. What the work is Each month a batch of notices arrives around the 8th to 10th. You get a planned route in our app, drive to each address, hand the notice to the resident (or another adult living there), take a time-stamped photo, and move on. Most stops take under 10 minutes. This territory averages about 90 notices and 9 court papers a month, the busiest in our network. Expect 25 to 45 hours of work per month. You will also be trained and registered to serve court summonses, which pay the higher rate. Pay and schedule $20 per hour to start, $24 per hour once you hold your Illinois PERC registration and serve summonses. Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate on your own car, plus $1.50 for every notice you hand-deliver. Paid every two weeks by direct deposit. Part-time W-2 employee with paid leave accrual. Work is concentrated in a 10 to 14 day window each month; you choose your hours within that window, but at least one evening (5 to 8 pm) and one weekend day are required because that is when people are home. Requirements 18 or older. Valid driver's license, insured reliable vehicle and a smartphone. Live in or near the territory. Comfortable knocking on doors and staying calm with people who are not happy to see you. Able to pass a fingerprint-based state background registration (we pay the $55 fee and the fingerprinting). Complete a 20-hour online training course in your first 30 days (paid time). Prior delivery driving, gig delivery, canvassing, field inspection, security, property management or customer service is a plus. Spanish is a plus.
