Job Description
Delivery Driver - Furniture Delivery & Installation Five Star Furniture is looking for a dependable and experienced Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is for someone who is comfortable delivering, handling, assembling, and setting up furniture in customers' homes. Previous furniture delivery, moving, or appliance delivery experience is required. Responsibilities Safely drive a company delivery truck to customer locations Load and unload furniture safely and efficiently Deliver furniture into customers' homes Assemble and set up furniture when required Inspect merchandise before and during delivery to prevent damage Protect customers' floors, walls, doorways, and property while making deliveries Obtain customer confirmation after completed deliveries Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck Communicate professionally with customers, store managers, and dispatch Assist with warehouse loading and other delivery-related duties as needed Requirements Must have previous delivery, moving, furniture, or appliance delivery experience Valid driver's license and a good driving record Comfortable driving a box truck Must be able to safely lift and move heavy furniture Furniture assembly experience preferred Reliable, punctual, and dependable Strong customer service skills Able to work well with a delivery partner/team Must handle merchandise carefully and professionally Must be available to work scheduled delivery days, including weekends when needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands the physical demands and responsibilities of a professional delivery position. You should know how to properly handle furniture, navigate deliveries into homes, communicate with customers, and complete deliveries without damaging merchandise or property. This is not an entry-level driver position. Delivery experience is required.
