Job Description

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL B Delivery Driver to safely transport food and related products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers. In this fast-paced wholesale distribution role, you'll operate CDL B trucks, load and unload product, verify deliveries, and provide exceptional customer service on established routes. You'll follow DOT and company safety standards, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL B truck to deliver food and related products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers on assigned routes Load, unload, and verify product against delivery documents, ensuring accurate, damage-free orders Provide excellent customer service at each stop, communicating professionally with customers and addressing basic delivery issues Follow all DOT, safety, and company policies, including pre- and post-trip inspections and proper use of equipment Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and electronic records as required Report vehicle or product issues promptly to supervision and coordinate with dispatch on route changes or delays Collaborate with warehouse, routing, and dispatch teams to ensure timely, efficient deliveries Support a safety-first, performance-driven culture through safe work practices and adherence to company standards Required Skills CDL B truck operation Route delivery driving Load securing and unloading DOT regulations compliance Pre- and post-trip inspections Electronic/paper log documentation Material handling equipment use (pallet jack, hand truck) Time management and route planning Customer service in B2 B environments Basic vehicle troubleshooting/safety reporting
