Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers. If you enjoy being on the road and providing excellent customer service, this is the perfect opportunity for you.- Company Driver will complete deliveries and pickups in West Chicago area and Davenport area 5 days/week
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a cargo van to deliver goods to customers
- Load and unload merchandise from the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow provided routes/schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, and fuel usage
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery processes
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Ability to load and unload merchandise safely
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with using GPS devices or navigation apps for route planning
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
