Phillip's Flowers in Wheaton is looking for a responsible Delivery Driver. The Floral Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely transporting floral arrangements to customers, events, and businesses while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a friendly demeanor, good time management skills, and the ability to handle delicate products with care. Key Responsibilities Timely Deliveries :
Safely and efficiently deliver floral arrangements to various locations, ensuring timely arrival according to delivery schedules.
Customer Service :
Provide a positive delivery experience, including greeting customers courteously, answering basic questions, and handling special requests.
Product Care :
Handle all floral arrangements with the utmost care to maintain their quality and presentation. Ensure that items remain intact during transportation.
Route Planning :
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adjusting as needed based on traffic, weather, and delivery priorities.
Inventory Management :
Check deliveries for accuracy before departing from the store and confirm delivery upon arrival at each location.
Vehicle Maintenance :
Perform regular inspections of the delivery vehicle, report any issues, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and organized.
Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and any specific instructions provided by the customer or florist. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in delivery or customer service preferred. Ability to handle and transport delicate items with care. Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Knowledge of local delivery areas and GPS proficiency. Physical ability to load, unload, and carry floral arrangements (up to 40 pounds). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to drive for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry flower arrangements, including loading and unloading.
