Full-Time, Part-Time No CDL Required About the Position Heaton Deliveries, Inc. is an independent contracted service provider that performs package pickup and delivery services for FedEx. We are hiring dependable Package Delivery Drivers to operate company-provided, FedEx-branded delivery vehicles on established local routes in the Fort Wayne and New Haven. Drivers are employees of Heaton Deliveries, Inc., not FedEx. While performing delivery services, our drivers wear approved FedEx-branded uniforms and operate company-provided delivery vehicles. This is a fast-paced, physical position for individuals who enjoy working independently, being active throughout the day, and providing excellent service to customers. No CDL is required. Paid training, uniforms, and company delivery vehicles are provided. What You'll Do Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle on an assigned local route Load, organize, transport, and deliver packages Make deliveries to residential and business customers Safely enter and exit the delivery vehicle frequently throughout the workday Follow established delivery procedures, traffic laws, and company safety requirements Use delivery technology and navigation tools to complete assigned stops Provide professional and courteous customer service Communicate with management and dispatch regarding route progress, delays, or delivery issues Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized Report vehicle problems, accidents, or safety concerns immediately Represent Heaton Deliveries professionally while working in the community Driver Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver's license Must meet required motor vehicle record standards Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a Multi state background check Must be able to pass DOT physical and drugscreen check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled Must be comfortable driving and working independently Must have good communication and customer-service skills Must be able to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds Must be able to safely handle packages weighing up to 150 pounds with appropriate equipment, such as a dolly Previous delivery, professional driving, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required Schedule Drivers generally work 5 days per week. Peak season is mandatory six days a week. Saturday availability is required. Sunday availability may also be required during the holiday Peak season. This is a daytime delivery position. Daily hours may vary depending on package volume, route conditions, and completion of the assigned route.
