Job Description

Harper County Public Transportation is currently accepting applications for a Full or Part Time Transit Driver. Responsibilities include transportation of elderly, disabled or general public (under age 60) passengers to medical and other appointments, shopping, and assorted errands. Will be required to assist all passengers in boarding or exiting vehicle, and with getting seated and fastening or unfastening seat belts. Must be willing to drive outside of Harper County, including Wichita. This is a detailed position requiring excellent driving, customer service, and decision making skills. Candidates must have the ability to operate efficiently and adhere to a strict timetable. Experience in public transportation is preferred, but not required. Drivers are required to participate in the KDOT drug testing program, pass a KCC physical, and possess a valid Driver's License. A CDL is NOT required!
