Load and unload merchandise using proper lifting techniques to ensure safety during heavy lifting tasks. Engage with customers professionally, building rapport through clear communication and excellent customer service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery logs and route documentation, and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for commercial driving. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met, and report any maintenance needs promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including commercial truck driving or automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions or calculations on the spot. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, route coordination, and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper techniques to prevent injury. Retail store experience is a plus, especially in merchandising or sales roles that involve client relationship building. Familiarity with DOT regulations to ensure compliance during all driving activities. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and route planning.
