Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan efficient delivery routes using route driving skills to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling practices during heavy lifting tasks. Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns to foster strong customer relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily schedules for smooth operations. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe transportation practices. Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and transaction processing. Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through excellent communication skills and professional demeanor. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation.
