Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling of heavy or bulky items. Deliver products to retail stores, commercial clients, or residential locations while providing friendly and professional customer service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance client satisfaction and company revenue. Build strong customer relationships through clear communication, prompt responses, and reliable service. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for accountability and reporting purposes. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising practices, and basic math for accurate transactions and measurements. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices to prevent injury. Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation and transportation safety standards. Retail store experience or client relationship building skills are a plus for engaging customers confidently. Organizational skills to manage schedules efficiently, prioritize deliveries, and maintain detailed records. Basic math proficiency for handling transactions, measurements, and route calculations.
