Non-Exempt Dartmouth Nissan is in search of a Parts Driver to join our winning team! $18.00 an hour + Bonus Dartmouth Nissan is a division of Ed Kardon's 24 Auto Group , one of New England's fastest growing, family-owned automotive groups. With 11 dealerships in Brockton, Mansfield, Easton, Somerset, Dartmouth, East Providence, Plymouth and Westborough, we are well-positioned to meet the transportation needs of our current and future owners. POSITION SUMMARY
The Parts Driver delivers and picks up parts for Route 24 Auto Group customers, dealerships and vendors. This position is a representation of Route 24 Auto Group while out on the road and must always display exceptional communication skills as well as operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Picks up and delivers parts to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors. Checks with the appropriate parts personnel prior to leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians. Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick up. Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, requests recipient s signature on each delivery entry Unloads truck each night; handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed. Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance Turns in all paperwork customers payments and undelivered parts Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
