No previous delivery experience required Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, ensuring safe lifting practices are followed at all times. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service skills. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, delivery times, and any discrepancies or damages encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and delivery driving procedures. Warehouse experience is highly desirable, especially in material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or manual transmission vehicles. Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries. Ability to adhere to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies consistently while on the road. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is preferred; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes.
