Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver to get our cheese to Hannaford! You will be responsible for delivering our cheese to over 30 Hannaford Stores in MA and NH (and one in ME) every other week. This is typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and sometimes Saturdays. You will need to leave our farm between 4:30am and 5:00am and follow a predetermined route, stopping at each store along the way to delivery cheese at their receiving department. Receiving hours usually stop at 1:00pm, so you have a set window to accomplish deliveries. You do not have to stock the cheese, but make sure it gets to the deli department safely with signed paperwork. In this role, you will be the vital link between our company and our valued customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and safe driving skills will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate our Ford Transit refrigerated van to deliver products across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using a dolly and manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items. Follow planned delivery routes efficiently while adapting to traffic or weather conditions to meet delivery schedules. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing friendly service and addressing any questions or concerns. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all transactions accurately. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after shifts to ensure optimal operation. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong understanding of route driving and navigation. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving items safely. Impeccable driving record Physical stamina for long periods of driving and manual handling tasks; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Ability to show up on time, problem-solve on the fly, use google maps (we'll give you an iPad), fill up van with gas and alert of any vehicle issues/incidents.
