Job Description
Furniture Delivery Driver & Helper Two-Person Delivery Team | DC Metro Area We are hiring for our furniture delivery and installation team. We're looking for reliable, physically capable individuals to work in two-person truck teams — one Driver and one Helper — delivering and setting up furniture for our customers. Roles Available Driver & Helper (two-person team) What You'll Do
- Work as a two-person team (Driver + Helper) delivering furniture to residential and/or commercial locations
- Load and unload furniture safely and efficiently
- Carry, maneuver, and install furniture inside customer homes/businesses (may include stairs, tight hallways, and doorways)
- Assemble furniture on-site as needed
- Inspect items for damage before and after delivery
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules Driver-Specific Duties Operate the delivery truck safely, follow traffic laws, plan efficient routes, and perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, tires, etc.) Helper-Specific Duties Assist with lifting, carrying, and positioning furniture; support the driver with navigation, paperwork, and customer sign-off Requirements
- Valid Regular driver's license (required for Driver role)
- Ability to regularly lift and carry heavy furniture (up to 100 lbs with a partner)
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and stand/walk for extended periods
- Clean driving record (Driver role)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable with a physically demanding job in various weather conditions
- Must be available to work up to 5 days per week
- Basic tools/assembly experience a plus, but not required — training provided
Schedule & Pay Schedule:
Up to 5 days per week, typical hours 6:00 AM- 3:00 PM (may vary by route)
