Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial CDL Garbage Truck Driver and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and efficient waste management services for our community. In this energetic and essential position, you will operate various types of commercial waste collection trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, to ensure timely pickup and disposal of municipal and commercial waste. Your expertise in heavy-duty vehicle operation, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to excellent customer service will drive the success of our waste management operations. Responsibilities Safely operate rear load, roll off, or front load garbage trucks on assigned routes and job sites. Collect, load, transport, and dispose of solid waste, construction debris, and recyclable materials at designated facilities. Deliver and pick up containers at customer locations, construction sites, and disposal facilities. Operate hydraulic controls and related truck equipment safely and efficiently. Perform complete pre-trip, post-trip, and periodic vehicle inspections throughout the workday. Ensure materials, containers, and loads are properly handled, secured, and transported. Read route sheets and service each assigned customer or location as directed by dispatch or supervision. Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, customers, project managers, and crew members. Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and safe operating procedures in all weather conditions. Maintain accurate logs, records, route documentation, and inspection reports as required. Support helpers or crew members when needed, including manual collection duties and heavy lifting.
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A or Class B required. Air Brake endorsement preferred. Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements. Minimum 1-2 years of truck driving or commercial driving experience preferred. Experience operating rear load, roll off, front load, or other waste collection trucks preferred. Ability to report to duty on time, including early morning start times. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy. Basic knowledge of truck components for pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Strong work ethic, reliability, accountability, and commitment to safety. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass and maintain required DOT physical qualifications. Ability to get in and out of the vehicle throughout the route and workday. Ability to lift, push, pull, grip, bend, and move at a steady work pace; may involve objects or containers over 75 pounds. Work may involve moving mechanical parts, hydraulic equipment, fumes, vehicle vibration, and outdoor weather conditions including wet, humid, hot, cold, or inclement weather.
Schedule:
Full-time position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed due to holidays, weather, route volume, or operational needs. Early morning start times may be required, including 5:20 a.m. report times.

Pay:
$32.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
