Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for dependable and energetic delivery drivers to join our dynamic team as Amazon Delivery Drivers. As a member of the team, you will become a vital link in bringing smiles to our customers' faces. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to homes and businesses using a company-provided vehicle. Your enthusiasm for driving, excellent customer service skills, and commitment to safety will ensure a positive experience for every recipient. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle to deliver packages along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, communicate with dispatch, and update delivery statuses in real-time Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with professionalism, friendliness, and a positive attitude Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met, including checking manual transmission operation if applicable Follow all safety protocols related to warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation, heavy lifting, and moving packages safely Maintain accurate delivery records, complete required documentation, and report any issues or delays promptly Qualifications Previous delivery driver experience or warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is advantageous Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities Ability to lift heavy packages regularly while maintaining safe lifting practices Comfortable working with mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes Embark on an energetic career path that combines driving excitement with the satisfaction of delivering essential goods!
