Job Description
Ellington Mechanical Services is seeking a trustworthy, punctual, dependable, and organized Delivery Driver to join and help support our growing team of professionals in the office and field. As a Delivery Driver this individual will be responsible for ensuring materials and equipment are pickup and/or delivered to job sites, our warehouse, or suppliers. To be considered for this role, qualified individual must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations and upon employment must report any traffic violations incurred during time of employment. Responsibilities & Duties Deliver and/or pickup a wide variety of items Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle Complete logs and reports Delivery driver must follow the laws in each jurisdiction they may be driving Load, unload, prepare, and inspect the items being received, delivered, and/or picked up Use technology specified by employer to record all transactions of items Preferred Qualifications & Skills Clean driving record - Required Valid driver's license - Required Punctual and organized Able to pass a drug screen and background check Able to lift up to 60lbs, items delivered may weight more that 60lbs and could be bulky, driver will need to be able to use equipment to assist with the transport and loading/unloading of items Able to follow directions well Able to use devices and apps to communicate delivery progression High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years' experience in related industry preferred but not required if qualified individual is eager to learn and grow Able to work well on a team Able to work independently upon instruction Able to prioritize tasks and assignments General understanding of delivery driver duties Strong interpersonal communication skills Good verbal and written skills Must be 18 years of age or older
