Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to transport and deliver products safely, accurately, and on time. The Delivery Driver will operate company vehicles, manage delivery routes, provide professional customer service, and ensure all orders are handled in accordance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations. Delivery Driver Responsibilities Load, transport, and deliver products to customers, businesses, or designated locations. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while meeting scheduled delivery times. Verify delivery orders, quantities, addresses, and customer information before and during delivery. Safely load and unload products, packages, and equipment, including items that may require physical handling. Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, payments, or other required documentation. Inspect the delivery vehicle before and after each shift and report maintenance or safety issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and Department of Transportation requirements, as applicable. Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, fuel receipts, and incident reports. Provide courteous, professional, and responsive customer service at every delivery. Communicate delivery updates, delays, damaged products, and customer concerns to the appropriate team. Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and secure. Perform other related duties as assigned. Delivery Driver Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean and safe driving record. Previous delivery driver, courier, route driver, logistics, or customer service experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and use GPS or route navigation tools. Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload packages or products as required by the position. Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills. Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to pass any required background check, driving record review, and pre-employment screening. Delivery Driver Skills and Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb in the course of completing deliveries. Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to [50] pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Comfort working in varying weather and traffic conditions. Ability to use a smartphone, delivery app, handheld scanner, or other technology for route and delivery management. Attention to detail when handling orders, customer information, and delivery documentation. Schedule and Work Environment This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, or extended periods of driving, depending on business and customer delivery needs. The Delivery Driver will work both independently and with dispatch, warehouse, operations, and customer service teams.
