Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious part-time CDL Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle to transport precision machined parts to and from customers and vendors. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to maintain a work-life balance. This is a part-time, day shift position 10-20 hours per week, pay based on experience. Duties Safely operate a delivery truck adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety standards Assist with safe and proper loading or unloading when necessary Plan routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, delivery receipts, and bills of lading Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good condition; perform routine maintenance tasks Requirements Valid CDL license (Commercial Driver's License) Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience Knowledge of traffic laws, state and local commercial driving laws, and transportation safety regulations Clean Motor Vehicle Record DOT physical examination and medical card Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and Clearinghouse check Familiarity with emergency stop procedures, accident response protocols, and first aid/CPR certification preferred Apply in person at Putnam Machine Products, 35 Cecil Drive, Coldwater between 8:00AM and 3:30PM M-F, email your resume to Nick@putnammachine.com or apply on this site.
