Job Description

Delivery & Customer Service Safely and efficiently complete assigned delivery routes. Deliver food and supplies accurately and on schedule. Verify all products before departure to ensure order accuracy. Check food temperatures as required to maintain quality and food safety standards. Obtain customer signatures and delivery confirmations. Provide professional, courteous service at all customer locations. Collect company property, containers, bags, and equipment from delivery sites as needed. Communicate customer feedback, requests, or concerns to management. Route Preparation & Loading Review delivery schedules, checklists, and order documentation. Load delivery vehicles efficiently and securely to ensure product protection and route efficiency. Ensure hot and cold products are handled and transported according to company procedures. Coordinate with management regarding loading challenges or delivery concerns. Conduct pre-trip inspections before beginning delivery routes. Vehicle Care & Safety Operate company vehicles in a safe, professional, and responsible manner. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out. Monitor fuel levels and ensure vehicles remain fueled and ready for operation. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices. Adjust schedules and preparation activities as needed during adverse weather conditions. Operations Support Unload returned equipment and materials upon completion of routes. Clean and sanitize delivery bags and transport equipment. Assist with kitchen and warehouse support activities as needed. Help prepare materials and supplies for future deliveries. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Teamwork & Communication Communicate effectively with managers, kitchen staff, and customers. Report delivery issues, product concerns, or operational challenges promptly. Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous delivery, transportation, customer service, or driving experience is helpful but not required. Required Valid Driver's License. Ability to meet company insurance and driving record requirements. Safe driving history and commitment to vehicle safety. Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization and time management. Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Work Environment Combination of driving, warehouse, kitchen, and customer-site environments. Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions. Moderate noise levels. Fast-paced work environment with daily delivery deadlines. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Frequent loading and unloading of food products and supplies. Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds occasionally. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and perform delivery-related tasks. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
