Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting practices to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns professionally while building positive customer relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with automobile transportation safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in accordance with company policies. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including commercial truck driving and retail store delivery roles. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, route coordination, and team collaboration. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe lifting practices to ensure compliance and safety on the job. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling merchandise or equipment. Customer service expertise with a focus on building lasting client relationships through professional demeanor and attentive service.
