Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in the Shipping/Logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering empty trailers while ensuring timely and safe operations. As a licensed professional with a clean driving record and a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will operate spotter vehicles and assist with customer pickups and deliveries. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule, benefits, and opportunities for overtime. Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Class A CDL truck to transport empty trailers between designated locations. Ensure all loads are secured and comply with safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety. Utilize a spotter vehicle to assist in the loading and unloading processes. Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient operations. Handle trailer movement within the yard safely and effectively. Maintain accurate logs and reports of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance. Document all relevant information to ensure compliance with company policies. Submit required documentation in a timely manner. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups. Communicate effectively with customers to address any concerns or inquiries. Ensure that all interactions reflect positively on the company. Work Monday to Friday Part-Time, (schedule will be based on workflow). Adhere to delivery schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate customer needs. Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routes and service delivery.
Education:
Valid Class A CDL license is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Previous experience in forklift operation is desired. Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to traffic regulations.
Skills:
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and report documentation.
