DriverJob Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in truck driving and familiarity with different trailer types will be essential to meet our operational goals. This position offers an engaging environment where your driving skills will directly contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain. Schedule & Position Details Driving days: Thursday through Sunday Local hours: Approximately 10 hours per week Out-of-town travel: Generally once per month Responsibilities Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized trucks. Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to manual transmission operation, load securement, and handling hazardous or specialized freight. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles. Knowledge of different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring proper securing techniques. Familiarity with forklift operation for loading or unloading cargo when required. Strong understanding of safety standards related to commercial driving and freight handling. Excellent navigation skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple routes.
