PART TIME
Shuttle Driver's responsibilities include fetching residents, driving them to specified locations on campus, and ensuring that the vehicle remains in excellent condition. You should also aid residents with the loading and unloading of their personal belongings. To be successful as a shuttle driver, you should be able to resolve residents' queries and complaints promptly.Responsibilities:
This role is part time 20-30 hours with a schedule that varies but typically between the hours of 7 am and 9 pm May have some on call as needed Operate cars, buses and shuttles to transport residents and employees to and from locations on the Glenaire campus. Work closely with the Director of Wellness, transportation staff and all activity staff for any changes or emergencies arising during the day. Maintain flexible schedule to handle changes on short notice. Exhibit patience and understanding with resident's special needs such as hearing, visual impairments, walkers, or wheelchairs. Submit credit charge slips to Director for transportation charges. Maintain positive relationship with staff and residents. Know how to use a GPS and knowledge of the area. Maintain regular maintenance, inspections and day to day cleaning of all vehicles. Attend department meetings. Observe the Glenaire Employee Handbook and be knowledgeable on department policies and emergency procedures.Qualifications:
Able to speak and understand English Clean driving record Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with residents, families, staff and outside constituents. Negative report upon drug screening and criminal record report in conformity with requirements of employee manual. Pleasant personality, patient, understanding and courteous. Dependable, accountable and able to work under pressure. Genuine interest in working with older adults. Vehicle maintenance knowledge. Stamina and ability to transfer residents for transportation purposes. Why Us?
