As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Day Time Tue 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Thur 06:00 AM - 04:00PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site procedures.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
