Job Description

McLane Company, a cornerstone in supply chain management for grocery and foodservice sectors, is looking for a dedicated and reliable CDL A Delivery Truck Driver. At McLane Company, our drivers are the heartbeat of our operations - connecting vital food and goods to an array of respected establishments across the nation. With a sprawling network of over 80 distribution centers, you will be part of a seamless system dedicated to efficiency and excellent service. Responsibilities Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck in a safe and efficient manner, for the delivery of groceries, foodservice products, and other cargo. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes. Review orders prior to delivery to ensure correct loads and that they are error-free. Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles. Perform pre and post-trip inspections, abide by all Department of Transportation regulations, and maintain a safe driving record. Collect signatures or payments, when needed, and coordinate with the logistics team to track deliveries. Follow company protocols for safety, face customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, and handle customer concerns with tact and efficiency. Required Skills Proven experience in truck driving and a safe driving record. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to drive a large vehicle and handle cargo effectively. Proficiency in using GPS and other routing systems. Knowledge of truck maintenance and safety procedures.
