Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through friendly and helpful interactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with transportation safety standards. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily schedules effectively. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe operations at all times. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations, invoices, and inventory counts. Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through excellent communication skills. Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus, demonstrating organizational skills and client service aptitude. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while following safety procedures. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day.
