Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, professional, and service-oriented Transportation Driver who takes pride in providing a chauffeur-level experience for our residents and guests. The ideal candidate is more than a driver—they are a polished hospitality professional who understands the importance of discretion, punctuality, safety, personalized service, and attention to detail . This position is responsible for providing safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation while ensuring that every resident and guest feels valued and well cared for throughout their experience. The Transportation Driver will assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles and, when appropriate, with mobility devices, luggage, groceries, and other personal belongings. This is a part-time position requiring availability on weekdays, weekday evenings, and weekends. Flexibility in scheduling is essential. Essential Job Functions Transportation & Resident Services Safely transport residents and guests to and from various destinations, including airports, medical appointments, shopping centers, restaurants, events, and community activities. Provide a chauffeur-level transportation experience consistent with the high standards of Symphony Park. Follow all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record. Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles and with mobility devices, luggage, groceries, and personal belongings as appropriate. Greet and interact with residents and guests in a warm, respectful, and professional manner. Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs. Anticipate and respond appropriately to residents' needs whenever possible. Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding residents, guests, and personal information. Address passenger concerns or needs promptly and professionally. Represent Symphony Park in a manner consistent with a five-star hospitality environment. Follow established emergency procedures involving passenger incidents, vehicle accidents, severe weather, or other emergencies. Work cooperatively with coworkers and other departments to provide exceptional resident service. Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents. Vehicle Care & Maintenance Conduct routine vehicle safety and maintenance checks. Keep vehicles clean, polished, organized, and presentable always, inside and out. Ensure vehicles are properly prepared before transporting residents. Report vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or maintenance needs promptly. Maintain familiarity with vehicle safety equipment and operating procedures. Route Planning & Navigation Plan efficient routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Effectively use GPS and other navigation tools. Monitor traffic and adjust routes as needed. Develop familiarity with local roads, destinations, and traffic patterns. Record Keeping & Compliance Accurately document mileage and travel information. Maintain required vehicle maintenance and service records. Document incidents, passenger concerns, and complaints accurately and promptly. Follow all applicable transportation, safety, and company policies. Attend required training and maintain required certifications and training. Maintain a professional and safety-conscious work environment. Qualifications & Skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous professional driving or chauffeur experience preferred. Experience in hospitality, hotels, concierge services, senior living, luxury transportation, or another high-touch customer service environment preferred. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality. Reliable, punctual, patient, and professional. Ability to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations. Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is preferred. Availability to work weekdays, weekday evenings, and weekends is required. Comfortable operating an SUV, 12-seat transit van, and 14-seat passenger bus, as required by the position and applicable licensing requirements. Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to safely operate an SUV, 12-seat transit van, and 14-seat passenger bus and to assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles and handling personal belongings as appropriate. Ability to sit for extended periods while operating vehicles. Ability to walk and stand as needed throughout the workday. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, squat, reach, twist, and climb stairs as required. Ability to assist with luggage, groceries, mobility devices, and other personal belongings. Ability to read clearly with or without corrective lenses. Ability to hear telephones, alarms, bells, and other safety signals, with or without hearing devices. Strong command of English sufficient to communicate effectively with residents, guests, coworkers, and supervisors and to read and complete required documentation.
