Opportunity:
EEC Logistics is expanding our delivery operations in Jacksonville, North Carolina , and we are looking for 10 dependable Independent Contractor Delivery Drivers to support a major national retail delivery program. Drivers will complete last-mile delivery routes from the Jacksonville area, delivering retail packages and merchandise directly to customers. Routes may require approximately 6-10 hours to complete, depending on the route and vehicle assignment. Driver Responsibilities Depending on the assigned route, you may be responsible for: Sorting and organizing packages Scanning packages Loading packages into your vehicle Following an assigned delivery route Delivering packages safely and on time Obtaining electronic proof of delivery Providing professional customer service Communicating with dispatch and operations This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position — NOT a W-2 employee position. Vehicle Requirements You must own or have reliable daily access to your own qualifying vehicle.

Insurance Requirements:
Drivers must maintain the required: Automobile insurance Cargo insurance You must be able to provide current proof of insurance during the onboarding process.
Driver Requirements:
To be considered, you must: Have previous professional delivery experience Have a valid driver's license Have access to a qualifying vehicle Maintain required auto and cargo insurance Have a satisfactory driving record Pass required background and motor vehicle screenings Have a smartphone with reliable cellular service Be comfortable using a mobile delivery application Be able to use GPS/navigation Be able to scan packages and complete electronic proof of delivery Be able to safely lift, load, unload, and transport packages Be dependable and punctual Work independently with minimal supervision Communicate professionally with dispatch Provide excellent customer service Follow all safety and client procedures Previous delivery experience is required. Independent Contractor:
As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for your own business-related expenses, including: Fuel Vehicle maintenance Automobile insurance Cargo insurance Mobile phone/service Applicable taxes Other expenses related to operating as an independent contractor Independent Contractors are responsible for managing their own tax obligations.
Compensation:
Drivers are paid based on theirassigned route and established contractor compensation structure. Payments are made biweekly. Route-specific compensation and additional operational details will be provided to qualified applicants during the onboarding process.
