Winston-Salem, Gastonia, Charlotte, NC Position Summary We are hiring an experienced CDL Class A Local Truck Driver for a consistent Monday-Friday route operating between Winston-Salem, Gastonia, and Charlotte, North Carolina . This is a temp-to-permanent CDL-A driving opportunity with a predictable daytime schedule, competitive pay, and overtime after 40 hours. The driver will operate an automatic-transmission day cab with a dry van trailer and complete scheduled pickups, deliveries, loading, unloading, and trailer moves along the assigned route. Daily Route & Responsibilities Start dispatch at approximately 5:00 AM Load in Winston-Salem, NC Make a pickup in Gastonia, NC Pick up freight at Power Systems Travel to Charlotte, NC to unload and reload Return to Winston-Salem via Gastonia Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on local routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Secure and transport freight safely Maintain accurate delivery and route documentation Communicate with dispatch and customer locations as needed Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company, and safety regulations Maintain a clean and safe commercial vehicle Schedule & Pay Monday through Friday 5:00 AM start time Typical shift: 10 hours Approximately 5:00 AM-3:00 PM $27.00 per hour Overtime after 40 hours Local, home-daily position Temp-to-perm opportunity CDL-A Driver Requirements Valid Class A CDL Ability to safely operate a day cab and dry van Commercial driving experience preferred Safe driving record Ability to complete required DOT documentation Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to safely perform assigned loading/unloading and freight-handling duties
