Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company procedures. Load, unload, and secure laundry loads using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption. Deliver laundry orders directly to customers' locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures and delivery logs, maintaining detailed records of all routes driven. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy laundry loads or equipment, minimizing injury risk during manual handling tasks. Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box truck operation is highly preferred. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques aligned with safe lifting practices. Knowledge of route driving, adherence to traffic regulations, and experience complying with safe driving standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly, perform moving tasks, and handle manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely. Experience working with warehouse operations or material handling equipment is a plus. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.
