Bellmawr, NJ Job Details Full-time $24.00 - $24.45 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Manufacturing facility experience Driver's License Warehouse experience Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description SCOPE The Short Haul Logistics Driver is responsible for supporting the Shipping and Sales teams by transporting finished product from the Bakery to the Distribution Pick Up point. This role will support operations by transporting product, stacking and staging orders at the distribution center, returning stale or empty trays to the Bakery from the distribution center, and safely driving and delivering products while adhering to Company, DOT, and Customer requirements and food safety standards.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1. Completes are required paperwork within required timeframes and to Company and/or Customer standards.
OTR Driving:
Delivers product orders to the distribution center via operation of Company box truck and/or equivalent. Verify the accuracy and completeness of all orders prior to loading the truck. Removes orders from the truck and stages orders per Company guidelines and Customer standards. Ensure all empty bread trays are collected on each run from distribution center and are returned to the Bakery each night. Ensure all delivery paperwork is properly completed, signed by the customer, and turned in according to company procedures. Follow all customer Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and site-specific policies at all times. Ensure a professional interaction with all customers
Safety & Compliance:
Operate all Company equipment in accordance with all Company, State, Federal, and OSHA requirements as well as in a safe manner at all times. Adhere to all company safety policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license that is in good standing per DOT standards. Bread Tray Production & Equipment Assists with maintaining an adequate supply of bread trays at all times, for seven days a week operation, by reviewing inventory and creating boxes. Perform regular review of the bread tray machine to ensure general upkeep. Identify and report all safety, food safety, and mechanical issues promptly.
Waste and Recycling:
Maintain waste operations, including Buttercup and recycling processes, for the Bakery. Works with the production lines to ensure that full Buttercup bins are removed from the production line and transported to the trash dock in a timely manner. Maintains the plastic and cardboard recycling bales. Ensure recycling trailers are loaded efficiently and prevents the accumulation of bales in the trash room.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1+ years related experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets DOT standards. Able to maintain DOT requirements including but not limited to a DOT Wallet Card as well as all needed driver's license requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires periods of physical strain such as long periods of sitting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting overhead. Must be able to lift approximately 45 pounds over head.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working around power equipment, slippery floors and dusty areas. Very hot conditions in some areas during summer season. Protective clothing such as uniform, gloves and slip resistant shoes are required.
