Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Furniture Delivery Expert to join our team! In this role, you will be the face of our company, responsible for delivering high-quality furniture items directly to customers' homes and ensuring a seamless, positive experience. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure furniture items using manual handling techniques Execute precise route driving to ensure timely deliveries while navigating urban and rural areas efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by assisting designer and clients with their furniture setup, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery. Conduct thorough safety checks before each delivery, including safe lifting practices and proper vehicle inspection. Maintain accurate delivery documentation using mobile devices or other digital tools, including delivery logs and customer signatures. Collaborate with warehouse operations for receiving, inventory management, ensuring proper handling of goods from storage to delivery. Assist with showroom staging, set up and organization Requirements Proven experience in warehouse receiving operations, inventory management, moving, or delivery driving roles, preferably with commercial truck driving or courier background. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable. Bring your DMV abstract to the interview Strong manual handling skills with knowledge of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on the road. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation during deliveries.
