Job Overview Chosen Path Health Group Inc. is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our growing transportation division. The NEMT Driver is expected to provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation for individuals traveling to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, rehabilitation services, and other approved healthcare-related destinations. Responsibilities The NEMT Driver will be responsible for: Safely transporting passengers to and from scheduled healthcare appointments and approved destinations Providing courteous, respectful, and professional customer service Assisting passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate and within the driver's permitted responsibilities Following assigned transportation schedules and routes Arriving on time for scheduled pickups and drop-offs Communicating appropriately with passengers, caregivers, facilities, and the Chosen Path transportation team Maintaining passenger privacy and confidentiality Completing required trip and transportation documentation accurately Conducting required vehicle safety checks Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment Reporting vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly Following all applicable company policies, transportation requirements, and safety procedures Following emergency and incident-reporting procedures Maintaining professional boundaries when interacting with passengers Qualifications Valid driver's license Clean and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to and from the designated reporting location Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable and punctual Professional appearance and conduct Ability to interact respectfully with individuals who may have mobility limitations, disabilities, or other healthcare-related needs Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to pass required background and screening requirements Ability to meet applicable insurance and transportation requirements Preferred Qualifications Previous NEMT experience Previous medical transportation, healthcare, senior-care, home-care, or patient-service experience Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mobility limitations CPR/First Aid certification Experience operating wheelchair-accessible vehicles, if applicable Familiarity with Cape May County and surrounding South Jersey communities Physical & Job Requirements The position may require: Sitting and driving for extended periods Assisting passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle Occasional light physical assistance consistent with company policy and the driver's permitted duties Safely securing mobility equipment when applicable Maintaining attention to traffic, passengers, schedules, and changing road conditions What We Are Looking For The right candidate is more than someone who can drive.
